Tom Haren Thanks His Supporters in Election Day Statement

PARMA, OHIO – Tom Haren, a candidate for the 23rd District Ohio Senate seat, issued the following statement today regarding the results of the November 4th General Election:

To begin, I want to thank those who graciously offered their time, prayers, thoughts, and efforts to aid our campaign over this past year. Most of all, I want to thank my wife, Carla, and the rest of my family for being by my side from the time I circulated my first petition until the last vote was counted. I cannot begin to put into words the profound gratitude I feel for the hard work that all of you have put in – without you, none of this would have been possible.

Secondly, I want to thank Senator Skindell for all of his work as a public servant, as well as for the quality of his campaign. We ran a campaign focused on the issues that we care about – it was the kind of debate that served the District well. I never doubted the quality of his character, and I do not doubt it now.

Finally, I want to remind everybody that while this particular election may not have turned the way we wanted, our work – your work – was not fruitless and it is not over. Our mission was bigger than any one election. We will re-tool and use the lessons we’ve learned here to continue to fight for the things we believe in. Tonight we move onward toward lasting, meaningful change here in Ohio.

Again, thank all of you who gave me the privilege of earning your vote this Election Day. It was an honor that I will remember all of my life.
